When you give to The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center (GHVFHC), a 501 c 3 non-profit community health center, you become a member of our family of dedicated physicians, skilled health care professionals, and community leaders who make it possible for a family lacking health insurance to see a doctor and get the care they need. One in three Orange County residents do not have adequate access to primary healthcare, resulting in far too many people being at risk of becoming gravely ill from sicknesses that with early detection and medicines can be prevented.
We invite you to join us as we bring compassionate care to all of our patients by operating state-of-the-art medical facilities and providing quality affordable health care to the community.
With ample financial support, we can:
From February through November, on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:15 p.m., friends, supporters, and volunteers are welcome to an open house at the Kaplan Family Pavilion. Guests tour our Health Center, meet our staff, and learn about the services that we provide. A round table discussion follows in the Charlie and Peggy Milich Medical Administration Conference Room giving everyone an opportunity to ask questions and engage in healthcare solution dialogue, share ideas and resources. Light refreshments are served. We end promptly at 6:30 p.m.
Additional Giving Options
There are many other ways to give a meaningful gift to the health center. Our Development Department is available to discuss giving opportunities with you at any time. These opportunities include:
Goods & Services for Auction
Items that may be accepted include:
Checks should be made payable to The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center, Inc., with the notation “contribution” in the memo line along with our giving form. For security purposes, cash gifts should be delivered in person. Contributions can be mailed directly to:
The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center, Inc.
The Health Center accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Secure Credit Card donations may be made online.
Your Annual Fund gift helps the health center by providing unrestricted funds that may be used whenever and wherever there is a need in our organization. These gifts help the health center continue to fund current programs that are essential to the health of our community, purchase new technology, implement training and education programs, and meet crucial needs as they arise.
Your contributions have an even greater impact through an employee matching gift program. Many corporations sponsor matching gift programs through which they will match the charitable financial commitments of their employees.
If your employer has a matching gift program, obtain a matching gift application form from your human resources or personnel department. Many corporations also have this form available on their website.
Fill out the matching gift application form and send it to:
The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center, Inc.
Your employer will send the matching gift to the health center, sometimes doubling or tripling the amount of your contribution!
Many individuals seek creative and meaningful ways to show public support to our health center; honor a family name, or memorialize a loved one. Gifts of all sizes may be unrestricted or designated for a special project to help deliver the highest standards of care to our patients by creating new initiatives, upgrading current programs, or renovating and expanding our facilities. We are always available to discuss the appropriate designation for your gift and will help to identify opportunities that meet your particular needs and interests.
We ask that you take a leading role in building our region’s economic health and well-being by becoming an investor in a solution to our health care crises. Our center offers a meaningful and lasting way to recognize donors. Named gifts can pay tribute to or memorialize a family, a mentor, friend, or business. They tighten the bonds of the community and transform a material building into a place of personal significance. In 2013, we opened two new sites; 127 Main Street in Highland Falls and 290 Broadway in Newburgh. If you are interested in a named gift please contact Regina McGrade, Director of Development, at (845) 220-3152.
As you plan your estate giving, please consider the health center as a beneficiary. Planned gifts provide an opportunity to leave a meaningful legacy in support of the health center. You can make a planned gift in the following ways:
