Fit for Life: Childhood Weight Control Program (English/Spanish)
Wednesdays: May 1 - June 19, 4:30 to 6 p.m.
This eight-week weight control program is for patients ages 7-12 years old and their families. It includes fun, child-centered physical activity, education about healthy living, and a healthy snack. This interactive and supportive workshop will help to improve the diabetes self-management skills of patients with pre-diabetes and diabetes. Participants will learn how to better control their diabetes and symptoms through diet, physical activity, stress management, and ongoing self-care. Keeping Your Brain Fit: The Joy of Improvisational Play: This workshop helps participants enhance their brain fitness and express creativity through improvisation, movement, and theater games. The session will be held on Sunday, May 5, from 1:30 - 4 p.m. The workshop costs $55.
Creating Essential Connections: Rapport-Building Skills: A unique workshop experience to learn the powerful principles of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and experience how to read and connect with others. The workshop will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 9:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The workshop costs $149 by May 5; $169 after May 5.
