Reach Out and Read Program With GHVFHC

GHVFHC has collaborated with Reach Out and Read of Greater New York, a program that, with the help of doctors, including our very own GHVHFC providers, encourages young children and their families to read together. By “prescribing” books, young patients gain literacy skills that positively impact their attention span and school performance.

In addition to participating in the program, GHVFHC often holds story time events for young readers from the ages of six months to five years old. Not to mention, we have a fabulous reading nook in the Pediatrics Department for children to read/play in while waiting to see their doctor.
