Protect yourself and others from HIV

The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center’s HIV/AIDS Department provides confidential outreach and counseling services for those living with HIV and AIDS.

Outreach can help you:

• Test for HIV to learn your status for early treatment; and
• Get education to help keep you and your loved ones safe from HIV/AIDS.

Case management can help you:

• Get insurance to cover your medical care, even if you are undocumented;
• Get SSI, DSS & food stamps;
• Find housing and subsidized rents so you can live comfortably;
• Get food pantry, home-care, legal, education and employment assistance;
• Find help for you to quit drugs or alcohol dependency;
• Learn how to avoid passing HIV to others;
• Talk to someone about your problems;
• Deal with emotional stress like depression; and
• Learn how you and your family can cope with HIV/AIDS.

• Substance abuse counsel
• Translation services
• Transportation to appointments
• Support groups
• Movie night
• Educational groups
• Peer support
• A client advisory board
• Condoms, female condoms, lube, dental dams and, safe sex counseling
